Kinara brings together educators, health workers, analysts, creatives and project managers who share one purpose: translate practical know-how into projects that improve everyday life. Some of us grew up in Morogoro, others joined from farther afield, but all of us are committed to solutions that fit the local context and stand the test of time.
Leading Kinara means championing the potential of young people unlocking talents, nurturing resilience, and turning community challenges into opportunities for transformation.
I like to work at Kinara because of its deep commitment to empowering youth and driving real, lasting change in communities. As someone passionate about youth development and digital innovation, I was drawn to the opportunity to amplify young voices, share impactful stories, and engage meaningfully through creativity, and a team that truly lives the change l want to see.
What inspires me to work with Kinara for Youth Evolution is my long-standing passion for community service, which began in 2013. I have always been driven by the desire to contribute positively to society, particularly in areas of sexual and reproductive health, gender equality, and youth empowerment. Kinara’s mission aligns perfectly with my personal values, especially in helping young people gain knowledge, confidence, and economic skills to become self-reliant. Supporting others to improve their lives and break the cycle of poverty is deeply fulfilling, and working with an organization like Kinara provides a meaningful platform to create lasting impact.
I like to work at Kinara because I provide comprehensive support to ensure students have access to quality education and care. We empower them to sustain family welfare and have a strong focus on education support management, health initiatives, economic empowerment and programs for caregivers, all within the context of vulnerable communities.
Working with Kinara for Youth Evolution as the Program Manager for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) is more than just a job it is a calling. I am deeply inspired by the impact we make in the lives of young people, especially students and out-of-school youth, by providing them with accurate, age-appropriate, and life-changing information about their health, rights, and futures. Many young people in our communities face challenges such as teenage pregnancy, gender-based violence, and lack of access to critical information. Through our school and community-based education sessions, I have witnessed how knowledge empowers them to make informed decisions, avoid risky behaviors, and pursue their dreams.
What keeps me going is seeing the transformation when a shy student becomes a confident peer educator, or when a young mother regains her voice and starts planning a better future. At Kinara, we don’t just teach we walk with youth through their journeys, and that’s what inspires me every day.
I am proud to be part of Kinara, as it is an organization committed to address challenges before they arise through projects aimed at reducing teenage pregnancies and gender inequalities among students.
I am coming from Germany and currently get the chance to learn and work at Kinara for one year (from September 2024 to August 2025). It is great deeply getting to know all of Kinaras many programs, seeing how much work goes into the implementation of a project and learning the way an NGO works. But the most amazing part for me is getting to know the kind and open people at Kinara who quickly made me feel like I was part of the team.
We’re a youth-powered NGO rooted in Morogoro, Tanzania. From health mentoring to livelihood training and water solutions, we help young people turn ideas into lasting change.
