Kinara has turned the model of traditional international development on its head. We have brought the concept of a highly efficient, grassroots non-profit into Morogoro. While Kinara receives international funding, local staff are driving change in the community.

The projects Kinara undertakes in Morogoro are driven by the real needs of the community. Kinara is able to help the community directly and over longer periods of time, which increases the consistency of support available to the community. 

Because of the community buy-in Kinara gets for projects, there’s more community participation and support.
